What the estimate should clarify

Detailed surfaces need a detailed scope

Cabinet projects have many individual parts. The proposal should make clear which doors, drawers, frames, exposed sides and removable components are included.

Doors and drawer fronts

The removable pieces and their visible faces are counted and organized before production begins.

Frames and exposed panels

Face frames, end panels, toe kicks and other fixed parts are included only when the scope identifies them.

Existing finish

Cleaning, abrasion and adhesion preparation depend on the visible surface and the selected coating system.

Preparation and production

Cabinet preparation is not wall preparation

Kitchen residue, hardware, profiles, joints and previously applied finishes all affect the work plan. Colors, sheen, products and any hardware responsibilities should be settled before doors and drawers are organized for production.

Common scope questions

Before you approve the estimate

Ask about anything that is unclear. A written scope is useful only when the included work and exclusions are easy to understand.

Do you paint bathroom vanities as well as kitchen cabinets?

Yes. The specific doors, drawers, frames and exposed panels are identified in the estimate.

Is new hardware included?

Hardware removal, reuse or replacement should be stated in the project scope. New hardware is not assumed.

Can every cabinet finish be painted the same way?

No. The existing surface and finish affect cleaning, abrasion, bonding and product selection.

Documented project media

Cabinet preparation and coating stages

The record shows individual process steps and later white-door conditions without extending those images into an unsupported whole-kitchen status claim.

Cabinet refinishing — documented work stages

The cabinet record shows an earliest brown-door condition, cleaning, sanding, masking, spray application, and later white-door conditions without describing the full kitchen as complete.
